Lerner Keeps Winning, but Susquehanna falls at Lebanon Valley, 7–2 Box Score
ANNVILLE, Pa. Freshman Julia Lerner (Arlington, Va./WashingtonLee) won two matches and stayed undefeated in singles play during her collegiate career, but visiting Susquehanna University lost, 72, at the LVC Tennis Complex on Oct. 5.
Lerner (right) beat her Lebanon Valley (92 overall) opponent in come-from-behind fashion at second-flight singles, 67 (17), 75, 63, to move to 50 in singles for the 200809 season.
Lerner teamed with sophomore Christine Crigler (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) at first-flight doubles to earn the other win for Susquehanna (32 overall). The duo of Lerner and Crigler won, 81, to improve to 30 together this season.
Lerner is a combined 91 in her collegiate career so far in singles and doubles.
