Lerner Keeps Winning, but Susquehanna falls at Lebanon Valley, 7–2 Box Score

ANNVILLE, Pa. — Freshman Julia Lerner (Arlington, Va./Washington–Lee) won two matches and stayed undefeated in singles play during her collegiate career, but visiting Susquehanna University lost, 7–2, at the LVC Tennis Complex on Oct. 5.

Lerner (right) beat her Lebanon Valley (9–2 overall) opponent in come-from-behind fashion at second-flight singles, 6–7 (1–7), 7–5, 6–3, to move to 5–0 in singles for the 2008–09 season.

Lerner teamed with sophomore Christine Crigler (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) at first-flight doubles to earn the other win for Susquehanna (3–2 overall). The duo of Lerner and Crigler won, 8–1, to improve to 3–0 together this season.

Lerner is a combined 9–1 in her collegiate career so far in singles and doubles.
