Woodruff Competes at NCAA Division III Championship Results

HANOVER, Ind. — Sophomore Alycia Woodruff (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) placed 75th out of 279 runners from around the country in the 2008 NCAA Division III women's cross country championship at Hanover College's L.S. Ayres Complex on Nov. 22.

Woodruff (pictured) posted a career-best time of 22 minutes, 13.48 seconds on the 6,000-meter course during her second straight trip to the NCAA championship. She was the only Landmark Conference runner to qualify for the national championship race.

The 75th-place finish ends a fine 2008 season for Woodruff, who repeated as the Landmark's individual champion and led Susquehanna to its first-ever women's cross country team championship.

A Bethel University runner won the individual national title with a time of 20:43.91.

The national team champion was Middlebury College, which finished with a score of 179. Calvin College placed second with 237. Susquehanna did not register a team score.
