Oct. 11: Landmark Conference Individual Tournament Results
SCRANTON, Pa. Junior Cory Prescott (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) picked up a singles win for Susquehanna University in a Landmark Conference Individual Tournament, held at The University of Scranton, on Oct. 11.
Prescott defeated an opponent from Goucher College in the quarterfinals of the sixth-flight bracket, 62, 62, before falling to a Moravian College player, 61, 62, in the semifinals.
Prescott was Susquehanna's furthest-advancing competitor. An injured player forced the SU lineup to move up one flight across-the-board.
The Crusaders will not compete on Oct. 12.

ANNVILLE, Pa. Senior Matt Mitchell (Millville, N.J./Millville) earned two second-flight wins, but visiting Susquehanna University was edged by Lebanon Valley College, 54, at the LVC Tennis Complex on Oct. 5.
Mitchell won his singles match by taking a 64, 26, 60 decision from his Lebanon Valley (10 overall) opponent. He teamed with freshman Matthew Quadrini (Brunswick, Maine/Brunswick) to win at doubles, 82.
Also winning for Susquehanna (04 overall) were junior Cory Prescott (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) and freshman Grant Uber (Biglerville, Pa./Biglerville) at fifth- and sixth-flight singles, respectively, by identical scores of 62, 62.
Sept. 23: Susquehanna 2, Shepherd 7 Box Score
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. Freshman Matthew Quadrini (Brunswick, Maine/Brunswick) stayed undefeated in singles play during his collegiate career, but Susquehanna University fell to host Shepherd University, 72, in a men's tennis match on Sept. 23.
Quadrini (30 in singles so far for the 200809 season) bested his NCAA Division II Shepherd (20 overall) opponent at third-flight singles, 63, 63.
Senior Andrew Symonette (Philadelphia, Pa./Abington Friends School) earned the other win for Susquehanna (03 overall) at sixth-flight singles. Symonette beat his Rams opponent in a back-and-forth match decided in a third-set tiebreak, 16, 62, 107.
Shepherd swept the Crusaders in doubles matches to provide the final margin of victory.

HARRISBURG, Pa. Freshmen Matthew Quadrini (Brunswick, Maine/Brunswick) and Grant Uber (Biglerville, Pa./ Biglerville) won in fourth- and fifth-flight singles play, respectively, but Susquehanna University fell to host PSUHarrisburg, 72, on Sept. 20.
Quadrini fought for a 64, 63 win for Susquehanna (02 overall) over his Harrisburg (10 overall) opponent, but his match looked easy compared to Uber's.
Uber bested his challenger in dramatic three-set fashion, 75, 16, 1311.
Sept. 14: Susquehanna 3, Misericordia 6 Box Score
DALLAS, Pa. Freshman Matthew Quadrini (Brunswick, Maine/Brunswick) picked up two wins, but visiting Susquehanna University fell to Misericordia University, 63, on Sept. 14.
Quadrini fought for a 62, 36, 62 fourth-flight singles win over his Misericordia (10 overall) opponent. He also teamed with senior Matthew Mitchell (Millville, N.J/Millville) to pick up an 84 win for Susquehanna (01 overall) in second-flight doubles.
Alec Green (Media, Pa./Strath Haven) made his third-flight singles win look easy by dispatching his opponent, 63, 62.
