Both SU XC Teams Regionally Ranked
METAIRIE, La. — The Susquehanna University men's and women's cross country teams are both ranked in the latest NCAA Division III Mideast Region polls by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The polls were released on Nov. 4.
The women's top 10 poll ranks Susquehanna eighth, behind (in order) The Johns Hopkins University, Dickinson College, Haverford College, Messiah College, Swarthmore College, Elizabethtown College and Grove City College and ahead of Gettysburg College and Salisbury University. Gettysburg and Salisbury are tied for the ninth spot.
The men's top 10 poll ranks Susquehanna 10th, behind (in order) Carnegie Mellon University, Dickinson, Haverford, Allegheny College, Johns Hopkins, Messiah, Elizabethtown, Salisbury and Gettysburg.
SU swept first place—both team and individually—at the 2008 Landmark Conference men's and women's cross country championships at Fort Roberdeau in Altoona, Pa., on Nov. 1.
The Crusaders compete next at the Division III Mideast Region championships at Waynesburg College on Saturday, Nov. 15.
