Susquehanna University provides a unique and enriching setting for a combination of liberal arts and pre-professional programming, a combination that is represented in the University's Prelaw Program.
Prelaw is not actually a major; in fact students can major in anything they want. There are no required courses. Law schools are more interested in seeing that you have developed good writing and critical thinking skills. They are much less concerned with whether or not you have learned “the law;” teaching you this will be their job.
The Prelaw program at SU is a pre-professional program. It is designed to help guide individuals who are interested in pursuing a legal career and ensure that they have access to all of the resources that Susquehanna has to offer. Students at SU have the opportunity to tailor the program to fit their specific needs and draw from the resources they find to be most valuable. There are several resources Prelaw students have available. They include:
Prelaw Advising The Prelaw Society The Mock Trial Team The Adams Center for Law and Society
More information regarding each of these components can be found by navigating the side bar to the left. Also, feel free to contact Dr. Michele DeMary, the Prelaw Advisor, for more information.

Susquehanna University is committed to providing its students with tools and opportunities that optimize their post-graduation success. For students involved in the Prelaw Program, the University provides partial reimbursement for the cost of courses that prepare them for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT).
