Susquehanna has embarked on an ambitious expansion of campus beginning this year. Over the next five years, the university is planning to invest $85 million in the construction of new facilities and renovation of existing buildings.
Major campus construction projects include:
New Science Building – A green, state-of-the-art center for biology, chemistry, and earth & environmental science. West Village Phase II and III – An expansion of a premium residence hall complex, adding housing for 240 students.
Additional projects include the expansion of the Art Annex, creation of new parking, renovation of the properties acquired from St. Pius X Church and upgrade to numerous houses on University Avenue. In addition, Fisher Hall will undergo major renovation when the new science building is complete in 2010.
During construction, there inevitably will be some disruptions, from parking and walkway reconfigurations to some noise to dust at times. Please know that the university and its contractors are working to minimize the impact of the construction on the campus community. Questions about campus construction can be submitted via this convenient online form.
These construction initiatives mark an exciting time in the history of the university. The projects are vital for Susquehanna to continue providing exemplary educational opportunities to its current and future students.

After the new lot has been completed, approximately Aug. 15, excavation for the new science building will begin.
