While we recognize that each person is unique in his/or her own way, we realize that diversity by itself does not build community. Therefore, our mission is to foster an understanding of our diversimilarity, or similarities across, and sometimes in spite of, our differences. Everyone has a story and heritage, and we want all members of our community to feel free to share their stories and celebrate their heritages. As such, our work includes support and advocacy for persons from underrepresented groups and protected classes, as well as those who are in majority groups. By respecting each others' differences and understanding our similarities, we can be ONE!
