
STEERING COMMITTEE
The work of The Adams Center is guided by faculty members representing diverse disciplines. The current members of the Adams Center Steering Committee are Professor of Accounting Richard O. Davis, Assistant Professor of Religion Thomas W. Martin and Associate Professor of Anthropology Shari Jaconson.

Professor of Accounting,
Richard O. Davis holds the J.D. from Fordham University and the LL.M. from Georgetown University. He is a C.P.A. with several years of experience with the Internal Revenue Service. He specializes in taxation, particularly corporate tax issues, and also teaches Legal Environment of Business. He serves as an advisor to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Bar Association Tax Committees and as a consultant to several major public accounting firms.
Assistant Professor of Religion, Thomas W. Martin received his D. Phil at Oxford University. He specializes in New Testament interpretation, especially the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. He also teaches Science and Religion and pursues research in Christian ethics.
Shari Jacobson, joined the Susquehanna University faculty in 2000 and is currently an associate professor of anthropology in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. She holds a Ph.D. in anthropology from Stanford University, an Ed.M. in international development education from Harvard University, and an A.B. in French from Grinnell College. Her research addresses conservative religious movements in the modern world, and she has conducted fieldwork among ultra-orthodox Jews in Argentina and among evangelical and fundamental Christians in the United States.
