Assistant Professor, American Politics/Political Behavior The Department of Political Science at Susquehanna University invites applications for a tenure-track position for the rank of assistant professor in the area of American politics beginning fall 2009. Teaching responsibilities include introductory American government, research methods and data analysis, political parties and elections, public opinion and political behavior, and the legislative process. Successful candidates will also be able to offer political science courses for interdisciplinary programs on campus, such as diversity studies and women’s studies. Most upper-level courses are taught every other year and the normal teaching load is three courses per semester. Requirements include a Ph.D. and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research in a small liberal arts college setting. Teaching experience is highly preferred.
