Opening Convocation
The term “convocation” has its roots in Latin and simply means “coming together.” Each year, Opening Convocation marks the beginning of Susquehanna's new academic year as new students come together as a class for the first time.
The ceremony welcomes Susquehanna's incoming class, and students as well as their family members are invited to attend. A Susquehanna tradition has faculty in academic regalia applauding students as they process into Weber Chapel Auditorium.
