The Sciences at Susquehanna

Research
Students have opportunities to undertake research projects with their professors, many of whom have received prestigious NIH and NSF grants. These research projects often lead to presentations at professional meetings as well as both graduate school and professional opportunities upon graduation.

Research Partners
This program provides stipends for students to participate in research projects during the summer. The Research Partners Program enhances student learning by providing students with the opportunity to actively participate in a research project on a full-time basis and enhances faculty scholarship at Susquehanna by providing funds for student researchers.

Internships
Gaining experience in applied settings through internships and other opportunities provides excellent ways for students to explore careers. The science faculty at Susquehanna have close working contacts with off-campus industry and governmental agencies to secure valuable placements.

Facilities

Fisher Science Hall
Classrooms, laboratories, offices and research space have been designed to encourage collaborative research between faculty and students and among departments.

New Science Building
Currently under construction with a planned opening in August 2010, a state-of-the-art science facility will transform teaching and learning in ways that have critical impact on academic quality.
