Crusaders Place Three on Women's Lacrosse Second Team

SELINSGROVE, PA -- Three Susquehanna University women's lacrosse players have earned a spot on the All-Landmark Conference Second Team, as voted by the conference's six head coaches.

Senior midfielder Rachel Devilbiss (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key), senior attack Erin McGarrigle (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) and junior defender Cindy Wilson (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) were among the honorees in the inaugural season for the conference. They helped lead the Crusaders to a 6-9, 2-3 Landmark record and a berth in the conference postseason, where they will travel to Catholic University on Wednesday.

Devilbiss led the team this season with 39 points (27 goals, 12 assists). She scored her 100th career goal against Lycoming and finished with 117 total. She was also second on the team in ground balls with 32 and added 23 draw controls and 14 caused turnovers.

McGarrigle was next on the team in points with 36, including a team-leading 32 goals. Her four goals and assist against Moravian Saturday were key to the win that clinched the playoff spot. She also had 17 ground balls and nine caused turnovers.

Wilson scored two goals this season, and was among the team leaders in ground balls with 30, draw controls with 14 and caused turnovers with 16.

The All-Landmark Team includes a first and second team with 13 honorees on each team, with the selections being made by position.
