Eppleman Named Liberty League Football's Special Teams Player of the Week
CANTON, N.Y. — Susquehanna University sophomore punter/placekicker Bobby Eppleman (Chester Springs, Pa./Great Valley) was honored as the Liberty League’s football Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time this season on Oct. 6.
An All–America candidate, Eppleman kicked the game-winning field goal as time expired in Susquehanna's dramatic 37-35 Liberty win over the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Oct. 4.
It was the right-footed Eppleman's surprise left-footed pooch kickoff with 23 seconds remaining in the game that gave Susquehanna the ball back and a chance to win. He also made four extra points in the game and punted the ball three times for an average of 49.3 yards, including a long of 52.
Eppleman leads the league and is fourth in NCAA Division III with an average of 43.9 yards per punt.
