To The Blough-Weis Library!

The Mission of the Library is to provide resources and services to stimulate intellectual curiosity, and to facilitate learning and research within the academic community. To this end, the Library and Multimedia Center support activities which are integral to the University's academic programs. These include materials acquisition and preservation; reference, research and user instruction; information retrieval, analysis and evaluation; online access to resources and library catalogs around the world; and collaboration with faculty in developing programs and collections.


  • Librarians offer bibliographic instruction and information literacy sessions, tours, assignment-based bibliographies, etc.
  • Reference sources and scholarly book collections – both in print and in electronic format
  • Electronic and print access to the full text of over 16,000 scholarly journals
  • Access to thousands of DVDs, videos, CDs and musical scores
  • Electronic access to most Course Reserve Readings of journal articles or book chapters
  • Computer database searches are provided for specialized faculty research needs.
  • A wireless laptop Library environment
  • Laptops for use within the Library and for course instruction
  • Two Leisure Reading collections
