Course and Multimedia Reserves Services
Course Reserves Services
Faculty may use Course Reserves services to provide supplemental reading materials for students. The Library uses the Docutek ERes system for electronic reserves for articles and other documents. Students can access electronic reserves from any networked computer. For complete information about ERes Electronic Reserves Program, click on http://www.susqu.edu/library/eres/ OR, from the library's web page, under Services, select "Electronic Reserves ERes".
Print reserves can be personal copies or Library-owned materials, and are for use in the Library. The following general guidelines apply:
- Deliver all Reserve materials to a staff or student worker at the Circulation Desk with completed Reserve request forms (available at Circ Desk).
- Requests to place items on Reserve can also be made electronically at http://www.susqu.edu/library/request/reserve.cfm OR through the library's web page under Request Forms select "Course Reserves" and fill out the appropriate form online. Use this form for print and electronic reserve requests.
- Please include a course syllabus to provide a time frame for placing items on Reserve, and to maintain consistency between the syllabus and the SIRSI system for locating and citing the assigned material.
- In the first month of the semester, please allow 3 working days (Monday-Friday) for material to be processed. During semesters, allow 2 working days.
- Articles for ERes can be dropped off in the Library or sent electronically to Circulation staff.
- You may also view your electronic Reserves by going to ERes and logging in under your name.
- Once placed on Reserve, please confirm the accuracy of your Reserve list by checking the listing(s) in iLink. This can be done as follows:
- Go to: http://www.susqu.edu/library
- Select: iLink web catalog
- Select: Reserve Desk (top of screen)
